Overview

Touchpoint Legal Services is an online service providing general commercial support and advice. Support, information or outputs provided by Touchpoint Legal Services do not constitute legal advice. The information provided by Touchpoint Legal Services is for general informational purposes only. If a request requires professional legal advice due to it being complex or specific to a local jurisdiction, Touchpoint Legal Services will inform the service user and can assist in accessing such advice.

Professional Relationship

No lawyer-client or solicitor-client relationship is created between service users and Touchpoint Legal Services at any time. Each engagement is limited to general commercial guidance, based on general commercial principles and experience, and cannot account for all local legal requirements.

Jurisdictional Limitations

While commercial laws share common principles across jurisdictions, if a request requires legal advice specific to a service user's jurisdiction, Touchpoint Legal Services will inform the service user and can assist in accessing appropriate local expertise. Service users are encouraged to seek local legal counsel when advised to do so. Touchpoint Legal Services is a legal consultancy, not a law firm, and is not regulated by any solicitor regulatory authority.

Fees and Payment

All fees will be agreed upon in writing before any work commences.

Confidentiality

All information provided by service users will be treated as confidential and handled in accordance with professional obligations. Touchpoint Legal Services will not disclose confidential information unless required by law, or with the service user's express permission, or as necessary to provide agreed services.

Intellectual Property

All materials, documents, and advice produced by Touchpoint Legal Services remain its intellectual property unless explicitly agreed otherwise. Service users may use provided materials for their intended purpose only.

Limitation of Liability

Touchpoint Legal Services' liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific services provided. The aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of £500 or fees paid in the previous 12 months. Touchpoint Legal Services is not liable for:

- Indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages

- Business losses

- Losses arising from service users' failure to follow advice

- Losses arising from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the service user

- Loss of data, business, or profits

By using these services, service users acknowledge and agree to these terms of service.
